My favourite gift to give.  Karen from Dear rae jewellery makes the most simple, beautiful and affordable jewellery in town.  Each piece is unique and timeless.  And lucky for us she’s just opened a design studio and shop in Woodstock at the Woodstock Foundry.

Inspired by her diverse surroundings, she creates jewellery that celebrates the preciousness of the everyday.

Karen says that she is drawn to simplistic forms and enjoys translating that into functional jewellery.  She graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with a BA Visual Arts and in 2008 took part in a winter semester exchange programme in Jewellery and Object Design at the Hochschule Pforzheim in Germany.

Dear rae was established in 2010 – another avenue for Karen to explore her creativity further.
